Acceptable Use Policy
What traffic belongs on our network, and what does not.
Prohibited traffic
- Any traffic that violates the law of the origin, transit or destination country.
- Robocalling, autodialling or bulk voice broadcasting where the recipient has not opted in, or where local law prohibits it (e.g. TCPA in the US, PECR in the UK).
- Spoofed or manipulated CLI intended to defraud, impersonate an emergency service, financial institution, or government body.
- Traffic to premium-rate numbers, satellite ranges or artificially-inflated destinations without prior written agreement.
- Wangiri / one-ring scam traffic.
- Traffic that harasses, threatens or defames the called party.
- Testing traffic to numbers you do not control (looping, echo, silent).
CLI integrity
You may present only CLI that you own, that has been delegated to you in writing, or that is otherwise lawful in the destination country. For Premium CLI routes we contractually guarantee we will not strip or modify your CLI — this makes it your responsibility to ensure the CLI is legitimate.
Fraud & security
You must protect your credentials, API keys and PBX from unauthorised access. You are responsible for all traffic originating from your trunks, including traffic caused by compromise of your equipment. We recommend IP-whitelisted trunks and strong SIP passwords.
We operate real-time fraud detection on typical fraud vectors (destination velocity, cost per hour, unusual country mix). When triggered, we may throttle or suspend a trunk automatically and open a ticket.
Enforcement
Breach of this policy may result in immediate suspension, termination, forfeiture of prepaid balance and, where warranted, notification to law enforcement or the relevant telecom regulator. We may also chargeback any losses caused by traffic that breaches this policy.
Reporting abuse
To report abuse, spoofed CLI or suspected fraudulent traffic originating from our network, contact abuse@voxiotelecom.com. We aim to acknowledge within 4 hours.
