German 032 national numbers activate without address proof, while Berlin and Frankfurt geographic DIDs do not. Here is exactly which German number types need paperwork, what each costs, and how to route them to your SIP trunk.
German inbound numbers are some of the most requested DIDs in Europe, and the question we get most often is simple: do I have to send documents to get one?

The 032 national range is the most flexible option: nationwide by design, no city tie. Geographic 030 and 069 numbers are there when you want a recognisable local presence.
The 032 range exists precisely because not every business is tied to one city. It is nationwide, and callers inside Germany dial it at a normal national rate. It works well for:
Geographic wins for trust-driven local marketing: a Berlin locksmith advertising a 030 number will out-convert the same ad with a 032 number.
An email address. You fund the balance with BTC, USDT (TRC-20, ERC-20, BEP-20), ETH, LTC, SOL or BNB, and order numbers, SIP trunks and SMS from that balance. There is no identity step, no sales call and no minimum invoice.
Most German DIDs are live within 4 to 12 hours of checkout. If a number cannot be activated for any reason, the full amount returns to your balance automatically.
Once the DID is active it points at whatever SIP trunk or URI you assigned. Two settings matter more than the rest:
Inbound CLI pass-through. Leave this on unless you have a specific reason not to. It delivers the original caller number in the SIP From header so your PBX can screen, log and call back correctly.
Failover destination. Set a second URI. If your primary trunk is unreachable, inbound calls land there instead of returning a busy signal. This costs nothing and is the single most useful field in the order form.

Assuming inbound and outbound CLI are the same setting. Inbound CLI is what your PBX receives. Outbound CLI is what you put in the From header on calls you place. They are configured in different places; see how to change your caller ID.
Buying fewer channels than you need. The German national package includes 20 concurrent inbound channels, geographic includes 10. If you expect campaign spikes, tell us before ordering and we will size it properly.
Inbound numbers and outbound routes are separate products, but they are usually bought together. Germany is a Premium CLI destination on our network, which means outbound calls carry your caller ID end to end rather than being rewritten mid-path. Pairing a German DID with a Premium CLI outbound route gives callers a number they can dial back, which is what actually moves answer rates.
