How to Create a SIP Trunk on VoxioTelecom: Complete Guide

This guide shows you how to go from zero to your first call on VoxioTelecom wholesale voice termination: account, crypto top-up, SIP trunk creation, caller ID settings and connecting your PBX or softphone.

Step 1: Create your account

Go to voxiotelecom.com/auth and sign up with your email. Accounts are prepaid and self-service. You don't need to send documents to get started.

Step 2: Add balance with crypto

1. Open Portal → Funds.
2. Choose the amount and the coin (Bitcoin, USDT-TRC20, ETH and more).
3. Send the payment to the address shown.

Your balance is credited automatically once the payment is confirmed. Calls are billed from this balance per second or per minute, depending on the route.

Step 3: Create the SIP trunk

1. Open Portal → SIP Trunks (/portal/sip).
2. Click New trunk.
3. Give it a Label (e.g. Production PBX or Office softphone).
4. Click Create trunk.
5. Copy the credentials that appear:

You can create several trunks, for example one per PBX, team or campaign, and suspend or delete them at any time.

Step 4: Choose how your caller ID is sent

In the trunk list, click the Caller ID column to pick one of three modes:

• Pass-through (dynamic): we send exactly the CLI your PBX puts in the SIP From header. Recommended for wholesale and call centers.
• Fixed Caller ID: every call goes out with one number you choose (E.164, digits only).
• Hide Caller ID: calls go out as anonymous. Some destinations block anonymous calls.

Put the CLI in the user part of the From header (and ideally P-Asserted-Identity), digits only:

Step 5: Connect your PBX or softphone

Asterisk / FreePBX (PJSIP)

Create a registration and an outbound endpoint pointing at sip.voxiotelecom.com:5060 with your trunk username and password. Our documentation has a ready-to-paste PJSIP example.

3CX

Add a Generic SIP Trunk, set registrar and proxy to sip.voxiotelecom.com, and enter the trunk's username and password as authentication ID and password.

Softphones (MicroSIP, Zoiper, PhonerLite)

Follow our MicroSIP setup guide. Remember: the caller ID goes in the Username field, and the SIP login in Login.

Step 6: Dial and pick your route

• Standard routes: dial the international number without + or 00, e.g. 4915112345678.
• Premium CLI routes: add the tech prefix, e.g. 1112 + 49… for Germany Premium CLI. See Premium CLI and the rate deck in your portal.

Check every call in Portal → Calls, with duration, destination and cost.

Optional: DIDs and SMS

Need inbound numbers? Order a DID from Portal → Numbers and we route it to your trunk. You can also send SMS from Portal → SMS.

Common problems

• 403 Forbidden: wrong username/password. Copy them again or create a new trunk.
• 503 / call rejected immediately: low balance, or the destination isn't in your rate deck.
• No caller ID at destination: your PBX isn't sending a valid number in From. Switch to Fixed Caller ID to test.
• No audio: check NAT settings on your PBX (external IP, RTP ports open).
